It actually doesn't sound too bad. Disney says that they are not making plans to re-brand the Marvel name, and it will help bolster certain under-rated Marvel characters such as Thor. I also read in passing that Stan Lee gives his blessing to the deal. The only thing that bothers me about this whole deal is that, IMO, Disney is looking like a monster company with their hands in every little thing.
Oh well. I will remain optimistic about this. At least until the new movies come out...
I especially like the one line from the article where one of the people interviewed was worried that Disney might dumb down their female characters/protagonists.
I think, in the end, this all depends on whether there is much or little compromise between the powers that be at Disney and the powers that be at Marvel.
