1) Watched a couple movies over the weekend. Gran Torino was excellent. Even if I did spend the whole movie thinking “Holy shit! Clint Eastwood=Bruce Wayne in a live action BatBey movie The International was decent. I probably would’ve enjoyed it more if I hadn’t been so sleepy when I watched it.

2) Tried the first 3 eps of Wolverine and the X-men(it was at the rental place). It was ok. Not the best revamp I’ve ever seen by far. And Rogue is annoying.

3) Our plans to go to the river this past weekend were shot. My cousin was working, we had a father’s day dinner at her house (while she wasn’t there and I was somewhat bored…except the amusing political convo the grandparents were having. They’re all rather…not fond of Obama), and Dad managed to hurt himself walking out of the court house Thursday. He just somehow managed to pinch a nerve with his spine. He’s just now starting to walk straight again. (He’s rather prone to back injuries after he fell off a second-story roof and landed on a pine root sometime before I was born)
Oh well, I think we’re off to the beach again this weekend.

4) I can now grill ribs!

5) Yesterday evening, Dad came in and told me my beagle was hit by a car. I cried off and on for the rest of the evening. He was my baby. Since I never cry in front of people (except mom) my brother and father were thrown off. My brother was actually nice. And Dad’s trying to make me feel better by trying to get a new puppy (which would make me feel better in almost any situation save this one); I’d rather wait but he said if we’re gonna get another beagle from the same people it’s probably the right time of year to get one. :/
Anyways, distract me flist. Rec some seriously fluffy fic.

6) On the bright side, I tried the first ep of Castle last night. It was awesome.

Grillmasters unite!!!!

...ok..so I can only cook hamburgers in the grill, ITS AN ACHIEVEMENT!

lol. That's okay. Initially I could only do burgers and hot dogs. Now i can grill chicken, pork chops(of the inch-thick variety), steaks, and now ribs. :D
The grat thing about grilling is you don't have to clean a really messy kitchen.

2) Yeah, Wolvie & the X-Men is just okay consistently. There are some moments that are great but in general, it's just...adequate. I've watched about eight episodes or so and I'm not that jumped up about watching more just yet. My cousin Mikey has seen more eps so I'm waiting for him to tell me which episodes to watch. (Btw, I like Rogue's hairstyle but yeah, she was being pissy most of the time.)

5) *hugs you some more*

6) Castle is the most fun I've had watching a show this year (other than Total Drama Island). Love that show. Castle/Beckett FWT!

And now, your distraction: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4113299/1/

2) I got the feeling it would be. (And I like it too. I can't figure out why Rogue is awesome in the old series, evo, and most of the time in comics, but in this series and the movie she's annoying as hell)

5)*hugs you some more as well*

6) (I'd laugh more about this if I hadn't wasted some evenings w/ 6teen...it makes me laugh). It's definatly awesome. And yeah, I'm already starting to ship it. Need more time to watch it!!!

Thanks!

Aww, I'm sorry to hear about your beagle :(

My first dog ever was hit by a car too. It's funny but for only being a dog she was like the exact equivalent of me. Her coat even matched my hair.

I didn't want another dog after Risty was killed either but I'm glad we have Jemi now. I wouldn't trade her for anything. I'll tell you it is one sucky process to go thru. But you'll love your new dog too and still be able to remember your "original baby".

*hugs* Thanks.

He wasn't my first dog ever, but the first of the dogs I'm seriously attached to to die. When the mutt dies I'll actually probably be even more heart-broken. I've had her since the day she was born.

I know I will eventually. (I'm a huge dog-lover in general), Being in college will just make it difficult getting attached to a new one. Especially since my favorite part of coming home was getting to go with the baby in the woods. He loved it. Chased full-grown deer all over the woods.

*hugs* I'm sorry about your beagle. I lost my "baby" (a cat that I had since he was a kitten) this past September. I do have my other cat, but he is not the same as my baby. I understand that a new puppy won't replace your beagle, but soon you will be able to love your new beagle just as much as before.

Just to let you know, Castle keeps getting better and better :-D

I'm sure I will eventually. Dad said he would've waited, but he wants to get one from the same people(they breed beagles for hunting....also since they're friends of ours we tend to get free beagles) and this is roughly the time of year we got my baby.

Awesome. Looking forward to actually having the time to watch more.
