Last night, my grandma died. It was the one with alzhiemers so we kinda expected it. It wasn't much of a shock.
We were told last night by my grandfather(not her husband), who was her doctor, it was probably going to be a choice of having to help her breathe or let her go.
When I was 6 years old she told me that when she "Couldn't work in her garden to just take her out back and shoot her." And she never wanted to be on any sort of life-support. Probably in her mind we kept her around too long.
So far my grandad(her husband) actually hasn't made this about him as he always does. I'm really proud of him for that.
We intend to hold of on any funeral-type things till after Thanksgiving.
We're sad it had to happen but it was indeed time, and we know we did what she would've wanted.
And I will always remember her for the strong-willed and wonderful woman she was.

And I'm going to be internet-less till Sunday(following lunch today) since we have no service at home. I hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving.
