I love good world-building in my scifi/fantasy stories, and this one definitely has that. And the characters are all interesting and well-done, even the characters I don't really care for. And yeah, I skipped S1 of Buffy and leapt straight to Spike's intro ep back in the day...and then realized that I wanted to know all the characters so I went back to s1 & I'm so glad I did. After that, I never did anymore jumping ahead for an actor.
