I don't know what's not working about Elementary but something just isn't clicking with me. I watch it because I enjoy the mysteries but it's not something I love and it's killing me, because the Cumberbatch and Freeman version made me weep with joy.

The biggest problem I have with it is that it isn't Sherlock Holmes (IMO, anyway). It's just a CBS crime drama with a well-known name slapped on. And, to my mind, CBS has way better crime dramas. Elementary isn't bad, it's just nothing special.

Yep, canceled and pulled. They aren't even going to finish burning off the rest of the episodes they ordered until summer.

I think that's so true. Sherlock BBC was a love letter to Doyle's vision and they made sure you knew. I think the "curmudgeonly genius" trope has just overshadowed Sherlock and now we need more to make it so.

And I find Lucy Liu terrible in the show. She's a great actor, but she's written so lifelessly, BBC Watson just seemed so much better.

I'm hoping to get into the Vampire Diaries, Teen Wolf, Dr. Who and more sci fi shows.

I really don't enjoy her Watson either. I agree, fairly lifeless and she honestly gets on my nerves. I also can't get over how anyone could get paid to do the job she does.

I've watched S1 of Vampire Diaries, but I had a lot of trouble catching the eps when they air since then. I really need to do the netflix catch-up.
Teen Wolf was a show I was surprised to get into. It looked silly, and in some ways it is, but there are a lot of things in the plot, the characters and the general set up that I really like.
And Doctor Who is just amazing.

Tell me about it, sister. I cannot wait to graduate because my life feels like it's been eaten up by school. Not that I'm complaining, I'm glad I got into a good school since getting into a good university is now harder and more expensive than ever, but there are times when all I want to do is sleep.

I was gonna say 'Hellsing' for the fandom meme but someone beat me to it. XD I'm going to check out that series after I finish Eureka 7.

How about Full Metal Alchemist? That's another show I plan on watching.

I approve of your choices. As for an f/f choice, I'm not sure if it was actual canon before I stopped reading the books, but I've heard that Destiny/Mystique are or were canon for a while. I liked their f/f dynamic when I was reading the books.

Where did Roy/Ed come from? I don't wanna get spoiled but I'm curious. I've heard some negative things about the ship's fandom and it's attitude to Roy/Riza and Riza in general.

Well, they definitely have a love/hate relationship in the show, they're both some of the hot characters...so obviously, fans pair them.

Can't say I blame fans for shipping the hot characters that argue a lot since I've been guilty of shipping pairings like that myself. XD Though I think I'm going to end up shipping Roy/Riza.

By the way, I finished Hellsing. :3
