This was my favorite line from the article. My favorite thing about Rowling is that she gives her characters, even the minor ones, a backstory/history. In a sense, she creates a vibrant world full of people that readers of every nationality, race, creed, gender, ethnicity, etc. can relate to. I can't give a full opinion on Meyer because I just started reading "Twilight". So far it's alright. I'm not as blunt as King is about her writing. I do, however, like it's natural quality.
