1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
Drove in Atlanta(and did pretty well); went to Dragon Con & AWA. W00t!; convinced a large group of people that I’m Batman
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Didn't have any. And I intend to actually study this next semester. You could call it a new years’ resolution but it’s more of “keep the GPA up so I can get scholarships for England”
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
My new aunt & my mom’s cousin each had new babies
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Grandma, the grandparent I was closest to at that
5. What countries did you visit?
Narnia
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
A sense of direction. Getting lost less would be nice
7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Seeing The Dark Knight; the day Grandma died; the day I saw James Marsters
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Finally getting registered for the damn Intro to PoliSci class (though getting IM’s over-protective parents to approve of me was a close second)
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not getting an A in World Lit 1….I’m an English major
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Had wrist issues, busted my ass so it hurt to sit for a month; but at least I didn’t burn myself on a heater this year
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Ummm…well….can’t think of anything, so I’ll go with Dark Lover, since I’ve now fallen in love with Ward’s books
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Daddy, for soooo many reasons
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
My grandfather, also for soooo many reasons
14. Where did most of your money go?
Food, books & manga
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Getting to see/touch/speak to James Marsters; Dark Knight release
16. What song will always remind you of 2008?
To be honest: Love Story-Taylor Swift (makes for good amvs if nothing else)
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? Happier, finally have an excellent group of college friends
ii. thinner or fatter? Fatter. But only slightly
iii. richer or poorer? same
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
STUDYING.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Moving from place to place on campus waiting for one of my friends to get back to their apartment (thanks God, I’m not gonna be in the trailer any more)
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
Spent it with my family at my house, and then went to my cousin’s for a bit
21. At any point in the past year did you do something that you consider completely out of your usual character? Was nice to IM; actually got out full sentences upon seeing Marsters
22. Did you fall in love in 2008?
Not with anyone real
23. How many one-night stands?
None, though a friend of mine seemed to suggest we should have one
24. What was your favorite TV program?
Daily Show & Colbert Report
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
No hate, but I’ve come to the conclusion that in order for my friends and I to stay friends w/ one girl, we have to spend less time with her
26. What was the best book you read this year?
several of Simon R. Green’s Nightside series; Odd Thomas by Koontz looks like it may rank up there with it
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Muse….why didn’t I listen to them before
28. What did you want and get?
Batman: The Long Halloween
29. What did you want and not get?
Cowboy Bebop the complete series (which I will buy this summer)
30. What was your favorite film of this year? The Dark Knight.

Don’t really remember, that was back in January….probably went out to eat

Gone West with Sanzo. Gotten an A in World Lit 1

music; Saiyuki; Veohtv(since there was no internets for me at the trailer)

the whole presidential campaign

It is very possible to overdose on expresso.
