*Happy Birthday to
braverys &
dungeonwriter
*1. How do you like your coffee?
With 1/2 & 1/2 or milk. No sugar.
2. How do you like your tea?
I'm probably the only southerner I know who doesn't like the super-sweet iced stuff. If I'm drinking iced, I want just a little sugar added in while its brewed. Otherwise, depends on the tea. Most black teas: plain & strong. Most herbals or ones w/ a lot of flavoring: just enough sugar or honey to bring out the flavor
3. What's your favorite late night beverage?
Coffee. Water. Vodka martinis
4. If you could only drink one thing for the next week, what would it be?
Water, you know so I'd keep functioning (coffee is required for me to function well, but I can do w/o it)
5. If you were on vacation, what would be the first thing you'd drink to celebrate?
When we go on a trip, I usally start w/ a good craft beer or wine.
*1) What would/did you name your first [dog]?
Rose. It was a lab puppy back when my parents were breeding them. I think it was her first, but it may have been Aurora. Both were stolen & I'm not entirely sure which of the 2 came first since this was all before I was in second grade & I barely remember them. Clearly, I was naming them based on Sleeping beaugty
2) What do you think makes a good name for a [dog]?
I generally name them human names. Their first name being something standard, & their (generally unused) middle name being more out there. For example: my eldest is Chloe Darlene.
I don't have a problem naming dogs non-human names, but it's just not my thing.
3) What do you think makes a bad name for a [dog]?
Anything I'd be embarrassed to shout or tell the vet's office when they go in for their yearlies.
4) What's a name that you love, but would never give a [dog]? Why?
Emma, but it's because I really like it & am saving it in the event I actually have a human kid.
5) Did you do a good job naming your [dog]?
I think so. Chloe suits my beagle. Susie is one of those names that just fits a lot of different dogs. And Regan's dad was apparently imported from Ireland, & I gave her an Irish name, so yes. lol
*A gofundme has been set up to help pay for
tigtogiba34's current medical needs. It's located here if you can & would like to contribute. The family is also asking for blood donations in the name of Melissa. Either way, you would be helping someone, which feels even more important these days.

I'm not sure my cats have "human" names, but I mean, they are "uncommon" names at least here where I live. No one ever heard the names Cisco or Nyssa before, although technically they ARE human names... but I always liked the "Unusual" ones :D

I like giving human names to dogs as well... But when it comes to cars I go with Japanese words for some reasons LOL!
I am happy to see how humans get together to help in a crisis! It makes me believe in the World all over again! This situation with Melissa is hard to process and I go on Facebook more than once a day just to check if there are updates... As for what is happening now in the World I can only try to stay strong and look at what decent humans around the Country are doing to "fix it"
