1. When I started shipping them Looking at some of Irrel’s awesome art on deviantart, then I went back & started seeing a very workable pairing 2. What I think their challenge is Their current significant others, and Katara’s initial animosity toward him, which she seems to be over already…so the pairing totally works 3. What makes me happy about them: They are equals, in battle and in the relationship. In the end of the series, I considered them to have a strong friendship and understanding. 4. What makes me sad about them: Neither would want to hurt their significant other, making getting together quite difficult. Also, all the missed opportunities they have had to get together/become friends throughout the series. 5. What moment I wish had never happened: The Kataang ending (sorry Kataangers) 6. Who I'd be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other For Katara, Jet. For Zuko: Well, I love Zucest, but Toph would be a much healthier idea. (Honestly I could go w/ Mai as well if they worked it out better than in canon) 7. My happily ever after for them: W/o the Kataang/Maiko ending: After their fight w/ Azula, they realize how perfect for each other they are, kiss & it goes on from there.
